MINNESOTA WILD ANNOUNCES 2009-10 RADIO NETWORK
33 STATION WILD RADIO NETWORK IS LARGEST IN THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
“THIS WEEK IN HOCKEY” BEGINS OCTOBER 4 ON WCCO RADIO AND THE WILD RADIO NETWORK


SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced the club’s 2009-10 radio network includes 33 radio stations, the largest radio network in the NHL. The Wild radio network can be heard throughout Minnesota and the upper Midwest with affiliates in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin all carrying Wild hockey this season. WCCO Radio 830 AM is the official flagship station of the Wild. Any preempted games will be heard on both BOB 106.1 FM and KBGY 107.5 FM. In addition, every game is broadcast live via the Internet on www.wild.com. The club’s radio network is distributed by Skyview Satellite Networks. Bob Kurtz and Tom Reid are the radio voices of Wild hockey. The Minnesota Wild Radio Network pre-game show begins 30 minutes before each game and is followed by a 30-minute post-game show.

The Wild also announced today that “This Week in Hockey” will air each Sunday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. starting Sunday, Oct. 4 on WCCO Radio and the Wild Radio Network. The show will focus on coverage of the Wild and the NHL and will also include news related to college and high school hockey around the state. Hosted by WCCO’s Steve Thomson, the program will also include appearances by Wild radio personalities Bob Kurtz, Tom Reid and Kevin Falness, as well as Let’s Play Hockey’s Wally Shaver.
