Predators to utilize Skyview’s full package of services including F.A.S.T. Inventory Management
for radio and TV

PHOENIX, Ariz. (10/04/11) — National Hockey League’s (NHL) Nashville Predators and play-by-play broadcast specialist, Skyview Networks, announced today a multi-year broadcast solutions partnership for radio and television that sees Skyview Networks provide its distribution service, F.A.S.T. (Flexible Audio Storage Technology) Automation, F.A.S.T. Inventory Management solution and Live Read Logging service to the franchise for all radio play-by-play broadcasts. In addition, Skyview will provide the organization with its adapted format of F.A.S.T. Inventory Management for television scheduling.

“Skyview is a remarkable system and one that will automate and revolutionize the way we do business,” said Bob Kohl, Senior Director of Broadcast for the Nashville Predators. “It will make broadcast and business opportunities exponentially better.”

The Nashville Predators aim to utilize the Skyview systems collectively to integrate all aspects of the radio broadcast to provide the sales, traffic and broadcast departments with one combined, open platform. The F.A.S.T. Inventory Management solution will be used for both radio and television broadcasts. The F.A.S.T. solution is uniquely tailored to the non-linear nature of play-by-play sports and will provide flexible spot scheduling and avails reporting for the franchise. F.A.S.T., used with Skyview’s Live Read Logging service, will generate all radio as-played and affidavit reports for contract fulfillment purposes.

Also included in the contract is Skyview’s F.A.S.T. Automation system to aid the franchise in growing its radio network. Skyview’s F.A.S.T. Automation will be offered to affiliates to run the broadcast without the added expense of hiring a board operator.

“We are proud to partner with the Predators for their broadcast needs,” said Matt Stys, Vice President Business Development for Skyview Networks. “The team has come off of a very exciting season after advancing to the second round of the playoffs. We look forward to being part of this momentum and to assisting with their current and future broadcast needs as they continue to grow as a franchise and a brand.”

The Nashville Predators radio broadcast hosted by Tom Callahan can be heard on flagship station WPRT-FM 102.5 The Game and its network of 13 affiliates. The first regular season Nashville Predators broadcast will be on Friday, Oct. 7 against the Columbus Blue Jackets. About Nashville Predators
Since being becoming the National Hockey League’s 27th team on May 4, 1998, the Nashville Predators have evolved from a young expansion franchise to a model of consistency as one of just six teams to reach the postseason six of the last seven seasons and one of four to post six consecutive 40-win seasons. On the ice, the Predators are led by the defensive duo of 2011 Norris Trophy (top defenseman) runner-up Shea Weber and U.S. Olympian Ryan Suter, as well as 2011 Vezina Trophy (top goaltender) runner-up Pekka Rinne. Off it, the club is a model of consistency with 2011 GM of the Year finalist David Poile and 2010 and 2011 Jack Adams (top coach) finalist Barry Trotz being the only holders of their respective positions in franchise history.
