California Headline News Expands Reach in Northern California Increasing
Network Coverage to 50 Stations
PHOENIX, Ariz. (6/6/2011) — Skyview Networks today announced it has expanded its California Headline News radio network to 50 stations. Skyview will provide news programming to KYAA-AM and KNRY-AM increasing its coverage in Northern California’s Bay Area.
"We have long looked forward to adding listeners in this thriving, busy, and beautiful region of the state to our growing statewide audience,” said Jeff Scott, Executive News Operations Director of Arizona News Radio and California Headline News. “We are excited, and eager to have our newscasts heard on these two outstanding stations."
California Headline News has been growing steadily in membership since 2003. KYAA-AM and KNRY-AM, reaching into the Monterey, Salinas and Santa Cruz markets, join existing California Headline News Napa affiliates KVYN-AM and KVON-AM to supplement coverage of the San Francisco Bay area. The stations’ potential reach serves these markets’ combined population of 240,000 residents.
“We are thrilled to expand our California Headline News radio network,” said Ken Thiele, President of Skyview Networks. “These stations are crucial to strengthening our reach in Northern California and they also represent a company milestone as Skyview reaches 50 member stations for California Headline News. I am confident these stations will be impressed with the highly produced quality of each newscast.”
California Headline News delivers broadcasts via satellite and online with multiple feeds each hour. All Skyview affiliates are equipped with next generation satellite receivers that allow stations the flexibility to store and record newscasts and time shift feeds to fit their programming schedules.
